Co-Founder and Managing Partner
Kartik is a Co-Founder and the Managing Partner of Aspada Investment Advisors and also acts as the fund advisor for the SONG Fund through Aspada Capital Advisors. Prior, he was with Lightspeed Venture Partners, a global venture capital firm with over $2 billion under management, where he was a founding member of the India office. Earlier, Kartik was a management consultant with McKinsey and Company. He is a graduate of the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Madras. Kartik currently serves on the Boards of Be Well Hospitals, SV Agri, LEAF, Xamcheck, Capital Float, and Eye-Q Vision.

Tom is a Co-Founder and Partner of Aspada Investment Advisors. Prior, he was one of the first employees of SeaChange Capital Partners, a social sector financial intermediary founded by former senior partners of Goldman Sachs. Earlier, he worked in the Investment Management Division at Goldman Sachs in San Francisco. Tom received his MBA at the Indian School of Business (ISB) in Hyderabad, and his BA in Economics from Providence College. While at ISB he focused on innovations in early stage financing and entrepreneurial ecosystems in India and other emerging markets. He has worked and traveled extensively throughout India and Asia. He currently serves on the Board of NeoGrowth Credit and serves as a Board Observer across several of Aspada's portfolio companies.
Chief Financial Officer & Partner
Kushal is the Chief Financial Officer at Aspada Investment Advisors. Kushal is passionate about working with organizations in their formative phase and is closely involved with portfolio companies in their strategic and financial planning, process implementation, performance management and risk management. He currently serves on the Boards of Schedulers Logistics and Allfresh Supply Management. His previous engagements include Financial Controller at Zovi.com and significant stints at ITC and PWC. Kushal is a meritorious Chartered Accountant from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India and a graduate in commerce from St. Xavier's College, Kolkata.
Sahil is a Principal at Aspada Investment Advisors. Previously he was Founder & CEO of MagnetWorks, a startup which built Industrial IoT systems. His prior experience includes a stint at Titan Company, building products for their New Business Division. He was also the first employee and product manager at Ezetap, which builds mobile PoS systems. After graduating from IIT Madras, he worked for McKinsey & Company for 3 years, which included a secondment to the Aadhaar project. Sahil brings a mix of experience in manufacturing, supply chain operations, product development, and building technology platforms.
Vaidhehi is a Vice President at Aspada. Most recently, she was an energy and chemicals consultant in New York; where she worked across several stages of project development of refining and petrochemical multi-billion dollar projects in the Americas and Africa. Previously, Vaidhehi has the distinction of being the first woman involved in project commissioning and refinery operations at Indian Oil Corporation. Vaidhehi has a Masters in International Affairs from Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs and a Bachelor in Chemical Engineering from National Institute of Technology, Tiruchirapalli.
Rushil is a Senior Associate at Aspada Investment Advisors. Previously, he was a Management Consultant with Booz and Company in New York City, where he divided his time between clients in North America and India in financial services, consumer goods and technology sectors. While at Booz, Rushil developed expertise in pricing optimization, sales and marketing strategy, market entry and corporate restructuring. He also served as a strategy advisor to several entrepreneurial Haitian ventures through the Clinton Foundation. Rushilreceived his B.A. in Mathematical Economics from Haverford College, where he was a John C. Whitehead Fellow and captain of the varsity cricket team.
Apurva is a Senior Associate at Aspada Investment Advisors. Previously, she worked with International Finance Corporation (IFC), the private sector arm of the World Bank Group, as part of their South Asia investment team. While at IFC, Apurva focused on debt, equity and quasi-equity investments as well as portfolio management in manufacturing, agribusiness, healthcare, education and tourism sectors across India, Sri Lanka and Bhutan. She started her career at Deutsche Bank’s investment banking division with exposure to M&A, debt and equity market transactions. Apurva graduated from Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Kharagpur with a degree in Economics.
Ayush is an Associate at Aspada Investment Advisors. Previously, he was a Management Consultant with McKinsey & Company and spent majority of his time in the Tech/IT, CPG and Chemicals sectors. While at McKinsey, Ayush gained expertise in lean & process optimisation, growth strategy, procurement optimisation and manpower forecasting for large organisations. Prior to joining McKinsey, Ayush graduated from Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Madras with a B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering.
Praveen is Finance Controller at Aspada Investment Advisors. Previously, he served as a Deputy Manager at Deloitte Haskins & Sells where he served as a professional in audit and assurance. He brings significant experience in audit, taxation, compliance and financial analysis. Praveen is a Chartered Accountant from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India. He graduated from Christ College in Bangalore.
Anoop is an operating partner at Aspada Investments, focused on the education and healthcare verticals. Prior to Aspada, Anoop worked with start-ups in the education, e-commerce and financial services sectors, assisting with fund raising, strategy and business development. Anoop started his career as an associate at the Ashmore Group, an emerging markets focused fund. He was also a Director at ISGN Inc., a mortgage services KPO, where he worked with the leadership team on M&A, strategy and was responsible for driving organizational profitability. Anoop has an MBA from the Indian School of Business at Hyderabad and a B-Tech in Electrical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras
Vignesh is an Operating Partner for Aspada Investments, focused on the agriculture and operations verticals. He has 15 years of experience in technology development and renewable energy, in initiating, sustaining and building new businesses across India, Thailand, and South Africa. He has a successful track record of delivering businesses with over $500M in revenue and a GW of contracted renewable energy assets. He was responsible for M&A origination and business development for a NASDAQ listed entity for the APAC and sub-Saharan African markets. Vignesh holds an MBA degree from the Indian School of Business, MS from Washington University in St. Louis and a B.Tech in Electrical Engineering from IIT Madras.
Ireena Vittal is an acclaimed strategy consultant on agriculture, consumer brands and urban development. She is a former partner with McKinsey & Co and brings with her over two decades of experience as a recognized thought leader to consumer facing companies looking to build large scale, profitable businesses in emerging markets. Ireena currently serves on the boards of several leading Indian corporations including Axis Bank, Wipro, Tata Global Beverages, Indian Hotels and Titan Industries, and is a member of the global advisory board of IDEO. She holds a undergraduate degree in Electronics and Masters in Business Administration from the Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta.
Peter Tropper is a renowned expert in emerging markets private equity with 30 years of investment and advisory experience in 110 countries in over 200 funds. Peter is Senior Advisor to the Emerging Markets Private Equity Association (EMPEA) and serves as chair of its Frontier Markets Council. In addition, he serves as a lecturer on private equity in emerging markets for the MBA program at the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. Peter had an illustrious career at IFC, from where he retired, in 2014, as the Chief Investment Officer of IFC's Private Equity Group, which had commitments of more than $3.5 billion in over 180 private equity funds and fund managers, all dedicated exclusively to emerging markets. Prior to joining the IFC in 1984, Peter served as Deputy Director of the Northeast Midwest Institute in Washington, D.C. He holds a B.A. from Yale University, an MBA from the University of Maryland, and a Master’s in International Affairs from the Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies.
